Preventative Maintenance Servicing (service schedules)

Quarterly preventative maintenance servicing is included in all Tara Forklift hire agreements, however we also offer service schedules for customer owned equipment. Services schedules can be tailored to suit each customers requirements.

By providing on-time services in line with manufacturers guidelines and work cover obligations, we help ensure the equipment is in good, safe working order.

Repairs

In supplying a vast range of makes and models for over 30 years, Tara Forklifts has extensive service experience to ensure repairs are carried out efficiently and professionally. Repairs can be carried out on site or in our fully equipped workshop facilities, including paint booth, wash bay, multiple work bays and fabrication department. Our team of experienced mechanics and service technicians will ensure your equipment is up and running as quick as possible.

Being an independent supplier, Tara Forklifts has developed knowledge and relationships with many manufacturers to ensure we supply the correct advice on repairs and spare parts.

Fleet Management (GEM system)

In addition to fleet maintenance, Tara Forklifts offers leading technology in Fleet Management systems. Global Equipment Monitoring (GEM) Systems are an example of solutions that help manage driver access, driver licensing, safety compliance and more. Features such as impact alerts, driver monitoring, optional weight gauge with alerts and camera systems help customers manage their fleet of equipment by identifying inefficiencies; eliminating excess damage; and increasing equipment utilization.

Tara Forklifts has implemented this system for a range of customers on both hired and customer owned equipment. The hardware can either be retro-fitted or fitted at the pre-delivery stage of sale/hire.

Transport

With our own tilt tray and a network of transport providers, we can deliver any equipment Australia wide.

Fabrication/Modification

Tara Forklifts workshop facilities include a complete fabrication department which allows modification and repair work to be carried out in house, offering a smoother, quicker and more cost-effective process. We have carried out a vast range of work for customers including end users and other forklift companies. Examples of work carried out on equipment in our fabrication department includes:

  • Mast height reductions
  • Leg width modifications
  • Carriage modifications
  • Load/overhead guard modifications
  • Drive in racking modifications
  • Converting pallet movers/riders from single length to double length and vice versa
  • Complete order picker platform fabrication
  • Other general welding jobs/repairs.

Spare Parts

Tara Forklifts supplies spare parts for all makes and models of equipment through an extensive network of suppliers including manufacturers and after market suppliers.

Batteries and Chargers

Tara Forklifts, in partnership with Combined Battery Systems, provide specialist advice and service relating to batteries and chargers used in the material handling industry.
